October 31, 1944 — February 17, 2026

Marathon

Arnold “Arnie” Drewek left his earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. It was a long-awaited event that lasted 81 years.

Arnie loved God, his family and country. He diligently studied the bible to gain truth and wisdom. He served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Arnie was a long-time truck and bus driver. He especially liked talking to the young children. He also delivered packages for UPS.

The highlight of his bus driving career was successfully performing the Heimlich Maneuver on one very frightened student.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Marathon, with full military honors to follow conducted by the American Legion Post No. 469, Marathon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to your favorite charity.

The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice and Meadows of Marathon for their compassionate care of Arnie.
