Michael "Mike" W. Hall

Michael “Mike” W. Hall, 77, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Hospice House, Wausau.

He was born April 27, 1949, in Wausau, son of the late Michael A. and Dorinda (Dalske) Hall. On October 2, 1976, he married Marilyn Blume at Nativity Of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Marathon and was baptized and confirmed at Nativity Of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. He attended St. Mary’s School and later graduated from Marathon High School. Following graduation he attended North Central Technical College until being drafted to the United States Army. After 2 years in the Army he went to work at Marmet and later Greenheck.

Following in the footsteps of his parents, Mike developed a passion for gardening and woodworking, hobbies he enjoyed throughout his life. He especially loved the beauty of the fall season and treasured spending time outdoors. Whether golfing, fishing, or hiking, Mike found joy and peace in nature.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Hall; children, Michelle (Cory) Scheiderer and Michael J. (Briana) Hall; grandchildren, Derek, Emma, Levi and Ethan Scheiderer, Michael P., Mackenzie, Rylee and Olivia Hall; sisters, Joan Crowell and Gerladine (Francis) Urmanski; goddaughter, Ashley Crowell; two nieces, three nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Nativity Of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon until the time of service all at the church.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Aspirus Palliative Care and Aspirus Hospice House for the kindness and care given to Mike.
