Amy Myska Obituary

Amy Myska, 42, passed away quietly on December 31, 2020, at UW hospital, Madison. She was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on December 5, 1978, the daughter of Patrick Myska and Deborah Meier.

Amy graduated from DC Everest in Schofield, WI and went on to get her BA degree in Sociology at UW-Eau Claire. Her penchant for helping others led her to get her Masters Degree in School Counseling from UW-Superior. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor and practiced for many years at the high school, college and state level.

Amy loved animals, especially her pet bunny Bing. She also loved her mother's Goldendoodle Lexi, who would wait at the door and do a little dance when she knew Amy was coming over. She was also very creative and used that creativity to make wreaths, flower arrangements, crafts and knit, making presents for family members and friends. Amy had a tight-knit group of friends who were always there for each other. She was intelligent, clever, had a quick wit with a healthy dose of quirky humor and sarcasm. She loved the symbol of the Tree of Life, maybe because it symbolized the interconnectedness of everything in the universe and served as a reminder that we are never alone or isolated, but connected to the world. We will all deeply miss Amy not being in our world.

She is survived by her mother Deborah Meier (Ron) and her father Patrick Myska (Julaine), siblings Bradley Myska (Amber), nephew Brayden, niece Abigayle, her twin Angie Myska, (Jason Purvis),  Lisa Meier, Matthew Meier (Amy), Nicole Meier, Kevin Meier, Stacie Hinner Gruna (Bruce), Tim Hinner (Elizabeth), several aunts and cousins and her best friend Sue Freeman.
