Vivian E. Petroski
85, Wausau, died peacefully Sunday September 18, 2005, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Hospital.
She was born September 14, 1920 in Chicago, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Cassidy) Molski. On January 18, 1947 she married Chester Petroski in Chicago. He survives.
Vivian worked in Chicago for GTE Phone Company and in kitchen services at the former Wausau Hospital and Wausau Insurance until her retirement. She was also a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Among her favorite things to do were, spending time at their trailer on Madeline Lake and caring for her Yorkie pups. She was very proud of being of Irish heritage.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Petroski, two children, Joan (Tom) Brzezinski, Weston and Chet III (Sue) Petroski, Shippensburg, Penn., two granddaughters, Lynda King, Burbank, Cal., Meghan Graham, Shippensburg, Penn., one brother, John (Olive Dugas) Molski, Los Alamitos, Cal., a special niece, Resa (Dan) Petroski, three adopted great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Dakota and Jacob Corallo and her Yorkie, Jo Jo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday Sept. 22, 2005 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Weds. evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
The family would like to thank the CNA's at Kennedy Park for the care given to Mom and the wonderful angel nurses and CNA's at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Thanks also to Dr. Jeff Oswald for his care and to Nancy Petulla for her prayers with mom.
