Victoria Drewek

Victoria Drewek 95, Hatley, formerly of Athens, died Friday February 1, 2008 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born September 8, 1912, in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Apolonia Lenard. On November 5, 1930, she married Frank Drewek in Poniatowski. He preceded her in death. Victoria was a homemaker and was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. She had been a member of the 500 Club Homemakers Club and various card clubs. Survivors include two children, Eugene (Mabel) Drewek, Wausau and Rosanne (Andrew) Jagodzinski, Athens, nine grandchildren, Vickie Corwin, Scott (Beth) Jagodzinski, Lisa Jagodzinski, Janice (Jevon) Loshbough, Gary (Kim) Drewek, Roger Drewek, Dennis (Darlene) Drewek, Lynette (Raymond) Brunke, Diane (Thomas) Saidon, 17 great grandchildren, a half sister, Agnes Bonin, Athens, a step-sister, Stella Nowicki, Athens, and one daughter-in-law, Gloria Drewek, Athens. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert, three brothers, Joseph, Steven and Louis, two sisters, Rose and Marian, a half brother, Edwin two step brothers, Joseph and Frank and two step sisters, Mae and Angeline. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 5, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Athens funeral home.
