Veronica J. Porath
70, Wausau, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1941 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Theresa (Adamski) Blaskowski. On July 21, 1962 she married Norman Lepak in Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1985. On September 20, 1991 she married Ronald Porath in Wausau. He survives.
Veronica grew up on a farm in the town of Maine and worked at Fleet Farm for 37 years as both a return goods supervisor and sales clerk. Some of her enjoyments included camping, playing cards, going to the Casino and taking trips to Branson. Everyone who met Veronica loved her, she was known for her visits to local establishments where she spent time with her many friends acquired through the years. She was the "glue" that brought the family together for all occasions where she loved to cook and always did so in large quantities.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald, Wausau; children, Steven (Cami) Lepak, Rockford, Ill., Sara (Michael) Stubbe, Wausau, David Lepak, Merrill, Dean (Kristine) Lepak, Wausau, Patti Porath, Lake Tomahawk, Randy Porath, Fargo and Tracy (Todd) Miller, Schofield; grandchildren, Joshua, Kylie, Renner, Stephanie, Matthew, Nicholas, Daniell, Chad, April, Mark, Echo, Devlin and Caden; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Keska, Wausau, Delores (Eugene) Bzdawka, Lindenhurst, John Blaskowski, Fritz (Jill) Blaskowski, Mary Jane (Edward) Burish, Butch (Judy) Blaskowski, Irene (Jim Hall) Blaskowski, all of Wausau and Ted (Sue) Blaskowski, Neenah; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Norman she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Raymond.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Noon Wednesday, June, 8, 2011 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
