Lyle "Jim" Schepp

Lyle "Jim" Schepp, 80, Wausau, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born November 5, 1936 in Pine River, Lincoln County, son of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Dehlinger) Schepp. On February 21, 1986, he married Jean Hlava at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. For 28 years, Lyle worked as a role wrapper for Wausau Paper Corp. until his retirement. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve. Survivors include, his loving wife of 31 years, Jean Schepp, Wausau; eight children, Bridget (Nash) Nyarko, Poynette, Colleen (John) Sargent Day, Appleton, Shannon (Walter) Hall, Lodi, Sean (Shannon) Sargent, Hudson, Todd (Shawn) Schepp, Schofield, Kim Schepp, Spokane, Wash., Tim (Cathy) Sargent, Wausau and Steve (Stacey) Schepp, Schofield; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frederick (Jamie) Schepp, Merrill; one sister, Karen (Kenneth) Stolz, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Michelle Schepp and Patrick Sargent; one grandson, Mitchel Schepp; one great-granddaughter, Rozara Wallace; and his twin brother, Wayne Schepp. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Steven Gjerde will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
