Lois A. Vande Boom, 90, of Rib Mountain passed away peacefully at home , surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born July 9, 1931, in Port Washington, daughter of the late Werner and Helen (Moths) Moegenburg. On May 24, 1952, she married the love of her life, Roy Vande Boom, at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville. This year Roy and Lois would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Lois and Roy farmed in Saukville and Athens before retiring to Rib Mountain. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a loving and supportive wife who worked hand in hand with her husband on the family farms.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Vande Boom, Rib Mountain, her children, Vicki Gauerke, Sherri (Scott) Krueger, Randy (Jan) Vande Boom and Dale (Sara) Vande Boom, ten loving grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and her siblings, Ralph (Rosemary) Moegenburg and Glen (Jennifer) Moegenburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon City. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside.
