Leah J. Meyers 75, Wellington Place, Rib Mountain, formerly of 701 Turner Street, Wausau died Friday, February 23, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born April 1, 1931 in Wausau, daughter of the late Albert H. and Lora E. (Detert) Will. On February 27, 1954 she married Arthur J. Meyers in Wausau. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1994. Until marriage she worked at Employers Insurance and her favorite pastime was playing cards. She was an active member of the VFW Burns Auxiliary Post No. 388 serving as a treasurer for 38 years and also as president. Survivors include her son, Michael (Sue) Meyers, Glen Allen, Virginia, daughter, Marsha (Fred) Yulga, Marathon; brother, Donald (Katherine) Will, Sun City, Arizona; grandchildren Melissa Meyers, Glen Allen, Virginia, Matthew Lawson, Milwaukee; step-grandchild, Brian Yulga, Las Vegas, Nevada and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Will Jr. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
