Kaye E. Reetz

Kaye Ellen Reetz, 56, Wausau, died unexpectedly on January 9, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born October 6, 1965 in Wausau, the first child of Warren and Carol (Laabs) Reetz. 

She attended Wausau Public Schools and competed in Special Olympics from a young age until her death.  She was proud to work for several years in the laundry at the Jefferson Street Inn.  Kaye enjoyed going on bus trips to destinations near and far, playing the slot machines at casinos, shopping garage sales, playing Bingo and meeting and talking to people.  Kaye loved all kinds of animals and also the Green Bay Packers and collecting Packer paraphernalia.  Kaye was very close with her parents and looked forward to visits with her brother and sister and their families.  At family gatherings, she could always be counted on to play a good game of Uno.

Kaye is survived by her parents, her brother, Jim (Karla) Reetz, her sister, Sue (Rick Jackson) Lind, her nieces, Jamie, Abby and Alexa, her nephews, Nathan and Connor, and her best friend, Kathy Brundidge.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau.  Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will officiate.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home.
