Joan Helen Krause

Joan Helen Krause, 64, of Edgar, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, July 3rd 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center.  She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during her last days of life.

Joan was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 18th, 1955, the fifth child of Jospeh and Eleanore Drewek.  Joan was raised and grew up in Edgar, WI where she attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and later graduated from Edgar High School in 1974.

She loved life to the fullest and put so much love in raising her three children.  Joan had an effortless love for animals, enjoyed painting, being outdoors and had a passion for teaching.  After working years at Fore Way Express, she went on to achieve her Master Degree in Education at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  After elementary teaching and substituting at a variety of schools, Joan worked with international students at Northcentral Technical College.  She later worked for Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee, WI as a Transportation Security Administration.

Joan is survived by her husband, Jeffery Jirschele; children, Amberly (Joshua) Moen, Devanie Krause (Tim Roesler), Jordan Krause (Jennifer Imhoff), Jennifer Jirschele (Brad Henke), Megan (John) Kendrick; grandchildren, Grant Hillman (Devanie), Beckett Moen (Amberly); Brother, Arnie (Pat) Drewek; Sisters, Georgean Durkee, Joyce Klinger.  Former spouse, Daniel Krause; She is further survived by many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eleanore Drewek; brother, Gary Drewek, brother-in-law, Eugene Klinger; along with grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 17th, from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 327 N. Third Avenue Edgar, WI 54426.

Those we love don’t go away,
