Jeannette M. (Puckett) Olson, 84, Moreno Valley, Calif., and formerly of Wausau, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Morning Mist Country Villa in Moreno Valley. She was born August 3, 1919 in Racine, daughter of the late Wiley O. and Jennie C. (Matson) Puckett. Jeannette married Charles G.M. Olson in California. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1991. Jeannette lived in Wausau most of her childhood and early adult years. She was active in the United Methodist Church, Wausau and when midwesterners started going west in the 1950's, Jeannette went. She was soon followed by her mother, a sister and brother. In California Jeannette met a U.S. Air Force widower with three small children, they were married and she became a loving wife and mother. She loved her life in California, enjoyed trips back home to visit family and friends, was a women of small stature with a big heart and loved everyone she knew and was loved by all. Survivors include two step-sons, Erick Olson, Portland, Ore., David Olson, Apple Valley, California; a stepgrandson, Michael Jorgenson; one sister, Virginia Campbell, Wausau and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one stepdaughter, Kathy (Olson) Jorgenson; two sisters, Gloria Puckett and Dorothy Litzer and one brother, Donald Puckett. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Riverside.
