Evelyn M. Erickson

Evelyn M. Erickson, 95, formerly of 500 Grand Avenue, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home after a brief illness. Evelyn was born in Wausau, WI on July 17, 1912, a daughter of Herman and Ella (Prahl) Sternberg. On November 14, 1943 she married Edward Erickson. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1979. She was employed at Graebel Moving and Storage in the office as bookkeeper for 15 years. Evelyn was an avid reader of Western and Mystery Novels and donated many books to the Wausau library in honor of her parents, sisters and brothers. She enjoyed bowling, loved to travel and had a real "green thumb" when it came to gardening. Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline (Anthony) Pass of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Jonathan (Dawn) Pass of Fond du Lac, Stephen (Vickie) Pass of Florida, and Patrick Pass also of Florida; six great grandchildren, Christopher (Jen) Pass of Fond du Lac, Stephen Pass Jr., Anthony Pass, Brittany Pass, all of Florida, Janee' and Alecia Pass of Fond du Lac; great great grandchildren, Gabriella Pass and Mariana Pass of Fond du Lac and Matthew Pass of Florida; other relatives and friends. She is also survived by six sisters-in-law, Lavern (Herbert) Erickson, Jean (Roy) Erickson, Ruth (Ralph) Erickson, Mary (Earl) Erickson, Dorothy (Elmer) Sternberg and Verna (Harry) Erickson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband Edward, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Elmer and Orville, and three sisters, Opal, Eldora and Valeria. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
