Elvio R. Misoni
21, 305 Anna Street, Mosinee, was born to eternal life on Sunday January 20, 2002.
He was born to life, April 6, 1980 in Wausau, son of Steven and Pamela (Johnson) Misoni. Elvio was a 1998 graduate of Mosinee High School and was entering his Junior year at the U.W. Stevens Point majoring in Health and Wellness. In high school, Elvio participated in soccer and wrestling and had developed into an accomplished weight lifter.
Hunting and fishing were among his favorite outdoor activities. His true passion was fishing, and from the age of 12 he looked forward to the annual trips up north to participate in the family fishing adventure, the 'Namekogon Fish Master Classic'. He took great pride and delight in the fact that for four years in a row, he earned that coveted 'Fish Master' title.
Among his other interests and attributes, Elvio will be remembered as a good student and hard worker. His job, building homes was a real source of accomplishment for him. Generous of spirit, Elvio was always willing to go the extra mile for family and friend. He was loving to his parents and family, and will be fondly remembered as being funny, playful and witty. None of these thoughts would be complete without mentioning his unique, flashy taste in clothing and hairstyle.
Survivors include his parents, Steve and Pam, maternal grandparents, Russell and Florence Johnson, Wausau, Paternal grandmother, Jeanne Misoni, Wausau, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Elvio was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Misoni, paternal grandfather, Elvio Misoni and cousin, Chad Johnson.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. Friday January 25, 2002 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Rev. Steven Brice will preside and Deacon Robert Anderson will assist. Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Visitation will continue on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church in Mosinee.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
Elvio was his grandfather's namesake and the 'keeper of the flame'. That flame will now, and forever, live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
