Donna Wheatley

Donna Wheatley went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 2, 2010 at age 75. She was born October 11, 1934 in Stratford to the late Harry and Mabel Doll. On May 21, 1955 she was united in marriage to Fred Wheatley. He survives. Together they raised seven children in rural Athens where they farmed for many years. Family and her children were very important to Donna. She loved them all very much and worked hard to care and provide for them. Her church and faith were also important to her, making sure all her children were raised with the knowledge and love of Christ. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. We are saddened to say goodbye so soon, but we will cherish so many good memories of time spent with her. Survivors include her husband, Fred Wheatley, seven children, Diane (Jim) Alber, Bob (Michelle) Wheatley, Sandy (Larry) Vesely, Laurie Rausch, Steve (Cindy) Wheatley, Mary (Steve) Groshek and Barb (Peter) Albrecht, five sisters, two brothers, 20 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Carol Ann. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday January 6, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Athens. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass Wednesday at the church.
