Delores M. Westfall

Delores M. Westfall 81, Athens, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born August 22, 1926 in Athens, daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Klawinski) Niewolny. On February 11, 1946 she married Eugene Westfall in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1994. Delores was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and baking, especially homemade bread. Survivors include four daughters, Charlene (special friend Jeff) Westfall, Merrill, Karen (Robert) Schlichting, Janice Bloch, both of Athens and Pamela (special friend Steve) Westfall, Marathon; seven sons, Leslie (Ann) Westfall, Hamburg, David (Linda) Westfall, Athens, Cliff (Barbara) Westfall, Hamburg, Daniel (Sharon) Westfall, Athens, Eugene Jr. (Jane) Westfall, Mark Westfall and Russell (Tammy) Westfall, all of Hamburg; 26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, brothers, Walter (Imogene) Niewolny and George (Pat) Niewolny, both of Wausau; sisters, Maggie Kremsreiter, Abbotsford and Gloria (Harry) Tagliaferri, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Ethel Niewolny, Illma Niewolny and Lois Niewolny, all of Wausau, many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Eugene, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Westfall, two infant granddaughters, four brothers, Frank Niewolny, Clarence Niewolny, John Niewolny and Irwin Niewolny; three sisters, Theresa Meier, Merceda Zawacki and Sophie Frahm. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens.
