Darrell E. Tesch, Sr

Darrell E. Tesch, Sr. 60, Athens, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born November 18, 1949 in Wausau, the son of the late Alvin and Betty (Darelius) Tesch. On May 20, 1972, he married Carol Gruna in Wausau. Darrell served his country as a United States Marine during The Vietnam War. He was employed as a truck driver for Veolia Environmental Services. Some of his hobbies included riding motorcycle, hunting, fishing. He enjoyed working on old tractors and caring for his horses. Survivors include his wife Carol Tesch, Athens; two children: Jessica Tesch, Edgar and Darrell Tesch, Jr., Edgar; two granddaughters: Jordyne, Edgar and Courtney, Edgar; and one grandson Dakota, Edgar. Darrell is further survived by two brothers and three sisters, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and his horse, "Lucky". Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. Committal services will be held privately at a later date. Friends may call Friday from 11:OO AM until time of service at the funeral home in Athens.
