Cynthia Adele Furger, 53, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison.
She was born May 30, 1956 in Phillips, daughter of Richard and Carolyn (Komatz) Norum. Cindy was a graduate of Phillips High School and went on to get her degree in Special Education. From 1981-1985 she began her family and had three daughters whom she lived her life for. She chose to stay home with the girls and run an in home daycare before returning to college to become a Registered Nurse. On July 29, 1994, Cindy married Randy Furger in Marathon.
Whether at home, work or elsewhere, Cindy made a great impact on the lives of many and touched their hearts. She was the most selfless, giving, caring and compassionate woman imaginable. No matter what the situation, she always had a way of making everyone smile. She had a love for cookbooks, cooking, motorcycle runs for charities and RMR. Cindy was truly the definition of what a mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend should be. She will be greatly missed by many.
Cindy is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Randy Furger, three daughters, Nicole (Tim Cox) Miller, Heidi (Forest) Weber and Jennifer (Chad) Seubert, two stepsons, Grant and Derek Furger, three grandchildren, Alexia, Kylie and Elliana, mother, Carolyn Norum, siblings, Rich (Terri) Norum, Judy (Jerry) Pufall, Ken (Tracy) Norum and Eric Norum and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon where at 7:30p.m. a vigil will be held. Private graveside services will be in Phillips, Wis.
