Beverly Benz Obituary

Beverly A. Benz, 70, Wausau passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born September 19, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of the late Elroy and Viola (Splinter) Bender. On September 18, 1971, she married Bruce Benz Sr. in Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2018.

For many years Beverly worked for the Kroger Corporation in Texas and Georgia. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing on her tablet, watching old movies, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, following her son Bruce’s sporting interests and most importantly spoiling her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Bruce (Patti) Benz Jr., Wausau and her grandchildren, Mason, Collin and Evan Benz along with her siblings, Penny (Ed) Brade and Gerald Bender, both of Sapulpa, OK.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Dave, Randy and Steve Bender.

A Celebration of Beverly’s life will be held at a later date. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
