Arlene F. Ames, 89, Wausau passed away peacefully, at her home, while under the care of Interim Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 6, 1931 in Mosinee, daughter of the late Nicholas and Ida (Singer) Hahn.
Arlene worked at Castle Containers in Adams, WI from 1969 until 1978. She then moved to Wausau and worked at Fiskars until her retirement in 1984. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, spending time with her family, cooking, baking and most importantly her devotion to her religion. Arlene was very close to her family and was proud to teach her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren the words to “Donner Beck”.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Gerry) Weiler, Ogema, Kathleen (Mike) Ames-Williams, Phoenix, Jerome (Reva) Ames, Kansasville and Kenneth (Joanne) Ames, Arizona, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and one great grandchild expected in the near future. Arlene is further survived by her sister Irene Zynda, St. Francis and all her brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings and her faithful canine companion, Jake.
