Antoinette Engstrom

Antoinette "Tina" Engstrom 88, Wausau, died Friday October 13, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born March 5, 1918 in Wausau, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Skarwecki) Sowinski. On November 4, 1939 she married Lloyd Engstrom Sr. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1987. Antoinette worked at HC Prange Company and after retirement looked forward to the monthly breakfast get togethers with the other employees. She was a member of the St. Michael Rosary Confraternity, Circle Ten and also sang in the Polish choir. Other enjoyments included playing sheepshead, camping and spending time up north. She was an excellent baker, with pies and cookies her specialty. Survivors include her children, Christine (Elmer) Romang, Wausau, Lloyd Jr. (Janet) Engstrom, Beverly Hills, Fla, Ginger (Harry) Knapp, Elgin, Ill and Mary Engstrom, Schaumburg, Ill; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two sisters, Leona Buedding, Wausau and Barbara (Alex) Holzem, Brokaw. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer, six brothers and two sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at church.
