Zachary Edmund Budleski

Zachary Edmund Budleski (Zach, Buds), 19, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

He was born December 27, 2004, in Wausau son of Bryan Budleski and Lisa (VandenBush) Walhof.

Zach worked for Stainless Specialist’s as a sheet metal apprentice. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved being in nature, a fisherman, accomplished hunter with many deer, turkey, and waterfowl mounts. In 2020 he kept the family tradition of racing car #55, in honor of Mike and Donnie Budleski, at State Park Speedway and occasionally at Marshfield Motor Speedway. Zach was hardworking, humble, and caring, always willing to help anyone in need.

Zach is survived by his mom, Lisa (Todd) Walhof; dad, Bryan (Sheri Fontana) Budleski; brothers, Joshua (Megan Drager) Budleski and Nicholas (Katherine Ament) Budleski; nephew, Bentley Budleski; grandparents, Dennis Budleski, Judith Budleski, Kim (Larry) Javens, Wayne “Popie” Hoppenrath, Helen Walhof, great grandmother, Shirley Javens; step-siblings, Ralph Fontana, Allie (Lucas) Mathson and Holly Fontana; uncles and aunts, Tony (Jane) VandenBush, Jake (Kelly) VandenBush, Jennie (Keith) Christian and Kevin (Julie) Walhof; cousins, Brandon, Bryce, Keanan, Austin, Matthew (Tara), Sarah (Joey) and Emily; numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mark VandenBush and Robert Walhof and other great grandmothers and great grandfathers.

Our family would like to give special thanks to the First Responders and Medical Personnel at Wausau, Aspirus Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Peterson Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, WI Friday November 1, 2024, from 3 PM until 6:30 PM, followed by a Memorial Service 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name. Donations can be sent to Lisa Walhof, 1740 Joy Lane, Kronenwetter, WI 54455.
