Yong Yang Thao

Yong Yang Thao 71, Wausau, died Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born September 10, 1934 in Laos, son of the late Lue Thao and La Vang. In 1958, he married Ker Vang in Laos. She survives. Yong was a good father and a great role model to all of his children and family. Survivors include, his wife, Ker Vang, Wausau; two sons, Chong (Kia Vue) Thao, Wausau and Jouakao (Yer Vang) Thao, North Carolina; two daughters, Mao (Kao Her) Thao, Missouri and Youa (Sia Her) Thao, Alaska; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Song Thao, California. Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery, town of Viola on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Noon.
