Winslow Maszk
95, Wausau, died Monday February 25, 2008, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born February 27, 1912 in North Dakota, son of the late John and Kathryn (Janikowski) Maszk.. On October 16, 1937, he married Leona Buchkowski in Bevent. She preceded him in death March 8, 2005.
During World War II, Winslow served his country with the US Army in the Philippians. Winslow had been employed with the former DJ Murray, the West side Brewery and retired from the Public Works Department from the City of Wausau. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and helping his neighbors.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Zoromski and Isabelle Kalder, four brothers, Walter, Joseph, Dominick and John Maszk.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon Friday February 29, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
