William Ross

William "Bill" R. Ross Jr., 66, 902 S. 21st Avenue., Wausau, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at his home. He was born July 28, 1938 in Wausau, son of the late Benjamin and Sophie (Magrecki) Ross. On February 16, 1963 Bill married Shirley Sillars at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives. Bill worked at GTE for over 30 years and also at Kraft Foods. Some of Bill's hobbies included collecting World War II guns and memorabilia and spending time outdoors. Survivors besides his wife Shirley, Wausau include his children, William R. Ross, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donald B. (Shelley) Ross, Auburn Wash., two grandchildren, Sean and Olivia Ross, one brother Benjamin D. Ross II Spokane, Wash., and one sister Maryellen "Babe" Ross, Sheboygan Falls, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Bill was preceded in death by an infant son, William R. Ross II. Private family services were held. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
