William "Bill" H. Netzinger
81, Wausau, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
He was born April 23, 1925 in Ringle, son of the late Nickolas and Anna (Neuendank) Netzinger. On June 23, 1956, he married Lucille Muhs in Wausau. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2006.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. For many years, he worked as a mechanic for the Marathon County Highway Department until his retirement. Among his many interests, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon (Eric) Zastrow, Wausau; two sons, Jerry Netzinger, Wausau and Leonard Zilch, Schofield; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; and special friend, Delayne Neilsen, Schofield.
Besides his parents and wife, Lucille, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ormond Netzinger.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. John Meachen will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau with full military honors conducted by the VFW Burns Post #388, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
