William F. Morache Jr., 79, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on December 5, 2017.
He was born to William Sr. and Ann (Pocewicz) in Chicago, IL on May 31, 1938. The eldest of three children, he attended Mendel High School, Chicago, and graduated with a business degree from Purdue University and a MBA from University of Chicago.
In 1960, Bill married C. Joyce (Parker) at St. Louis of France Church, Chicago, IL. They had five children. Bill and Joyce were married for 57 years.
Bill began his business career as a Buyer at Johnson and Johnson. He purchased a Chicago Today (Chicago Tribune) newspaper distributorship and became his own boss in 1965. In 1972 Bill moved his family to Wausau where he opened Total Rental (Taylor Rental) on Schofield Avenue in the Town of Weston. He owned and operated the rental stores for over 40 years. Upon retiring he pursued his hobbies of model railroading and carpentry. Bill continued to renovate the families 3-story Victorian home until his failing heath in 2013.
Bill had a passion for researching his families' genealogy and took a trip to Montreal furthering his research. He was able to explore 400+ years of his French ancestry. He was an avid student of Tia Chi. He loved collector cars and owned several at one time. He had a green thumb and loved to spend time in the dirt growing things.
Survivors include; wife, C.Joyce, Wausau, WI; his children, Pat Morache (David Davern), Oregon; Suzanne (Jim Gierach), Kenosha, WI; John (Stacey) Morache, Wausau, WI; Kristen Morache, Wausau, WI; Dan (Ann) Morache, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Eight grandchildren; Elizabeth, Michael, Steven, Dominic, Max, Tyler, Maddox and Muireann. Bill's sister, Marianne (Dave Hirtz), Chilicothe, IL and brother, Rick (Jan) Morache, Las Vegas, NV.
He is preceded in death by his parents; William Sr. and Ann Morache.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017. Visitation will be 9:30-11am, both held at St. Matthew Church 229 S. 28th Ave, Wausau, WI. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson's Foundation would be appreciated. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
