William C. Haight

William C. Haight, 84, 2400 Marshall Street, Wausau, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Mt. View Care Center, Wausau. William was born November, 24, 1917, in Medford, son of the late Archie and Lena (Ludovic) Haight. He married Geraldine Pagenkopf, June 1, 1941 in Union Grove, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death July 26, 1999. William was proud of his career serving his country for more than 35 years in the United States Army. He was a Veteran of World War II. Reading, fishing and traveling were among his favorite pastimes. He is survived by one daughter; Connie (David) Raymond, Schofield; one son, Carl (Ursula) Haight, Germany; one granddaughter, Jennifer Haight, Minn; two sisters; Constance (John) Pfiffner, Ill., Diana Irvine, ILL.; one brother; Robert (Doris) Haight, Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Haight. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of the arrangements.
