William "Bill" Egging

William "Bill" Egging, 77, Kronenwetter, died peacefully surrounded by Family on Friday May 8, 2015 at the Hospice House in Wausau. Bill was born October 17, 1937 in Mattoon Wi, son of the late Edward and Florence (Tinsman) Egging. On December 29, 1956, he married Joan Kathryn Zarda in Mattoon. She survives. After their marriage, Bill and Joan moved to Imperial Beach, California where Bill was stationed with the US Navy for four years. Following his tour, they moved back to Wausau where he was employed for 25 years with Pepsi. After Pepsi, he worked at Stainless Specialists for several years and for Baer's Beverage prior to his retirement. Bills free time was spent relaxing up-north at the Lake, restoring old cars, and antiquing. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, shooting pool and traveling. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 248, Wausau, the Wausau Antique Car Club and over the years had served as an usher at St. Michael Parish. Survivors include his wife, Joan Egging, Kronenwetter, two daughters, Kaye (Troy) Fewell, Middlebury, Ind., and Patty Egging, Fort Wayne, Ind. His siblings, Nancy (Al) Fitch, Lake Stevens, Wash., Patrick (Cece) Egging, Whidbey Island, Wash., Thomas (Rosie) Egging, Mattoon Wi., Mary (Bill) Hetzel, Mellen Wi., along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Egging. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. A private burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Mattoon at a later date. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
