William J. "Bill" Dalsky
74, 116 E. Ross Ave., Wausau died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1932 in Wausau, son of the late Stephan and Emma (Breitenbach) Dalsky.
Bill served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1949 until 1952. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He worked as a bricklayer and also owned and operated "Bill's Saw Shop". He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and many close friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent at his trailer on the Rainbow Flowage near Lake Tomahawk.
Survivors include two sisters, Sister Frances Dalsky, LaCrosse, Hildegarde Popovich, Chandler, Ariz., one brother, Phillip (Ann) Dalsky, Wausau along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Agnes Dalsky and Clara Wozniczka and his brothers, George and Roman Dalsky.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
