Wayne J. Hall

Wayne J. Hall 53, Wausau, formerly of Edgar, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born March 2, 1956 in Wausau, son of Victor and Jeanette (Lang) Hall of Edgar. On October 12, 1979, he married Barbara Gust in Edgar. She preceded him in death on April 11, 2009. Wayne was a cheese maker and managed the former Cassel Garden Cheese Factory. He then worked for Menzner Lumber and Supply Company. Among his many interests, he enjoyed praying, reading the Bible and taking long walks with his wife, Barbara. He was an avid sports fan, especially a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, and collected sports cards and bobble heads for many years. Wayne was always there for people who were in need and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and never missed one of his sons baseball games. Survivors include his two sons, Christopher and Scott Hall, Wausau; his parents, Victor and Jeanette Hall, Edgar; five brothers, Leroy (Karen) Hall, Edgar, Charles (Deb) Hall, Wausau, Delmar (Christele) Hall, Jeff (Mary) Hall and Brian (Diane) Hall, all of Edgar; four sisters, Karen (Jim) Schara, Hamburg, Janice (Darrel) Soczka, Lisa (Paul) Lemmer and Susan Hall, all of Edgar; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Debi (Martinus) Gust-Boerema, Ojai, Calif., Robert (Ann) Gust, Mary (Ken) Knetter, Michael (Melissa) Gust and Terry Gust, all of Edgar; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his wife Barbara, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Otto "Red" and Peggy Gust; and his brother-in-law, Alan Gust. Funeral services will be at Noon Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Neil Kramer will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery.
