Wanda Ashdown

Wanda Ashdown, 93, Wausau, died Weds. March 6, 2013 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born May 7, 1919, in East Liverpool, Ohio, daughter of the late Allen and Cecil (Smith) Brown. On December 11, 1941, she married Alfred Ashdown in Ohio. He preceded her in death, August 25, 1984. Wanda was a homemaker and loved the time spent with her family. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to go on any time of trip especially bus tours. Survivors include her daughter, Cindi (Tom) Rice, Wausau, four grandchildren, Michelle (Gary) Zindorf, Weston, Andy (Carla) Rice, Rothschild, Heather (Dennis) Leick, Green Bay, T.J. (Nicole) Rice, Eagan, Minn., nine great grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Nathan Zindorf, Colin & Braden Leick, Shea & Katherine Rice and Bella, Eva & Oliver Rice and five nieces. A private Funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
