Walter Pilny, 80, 1300 N. 9th Ave. Wausau, died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Woodland Court, Merrill.
He was born November 27, 1921 in Chicago to the late Joe and Anna (Turza) Pilny.
Walter married Betty Koprowski in Peplin on April 3, 1948. She survives.
Walter was a forklift operator at Weyerhauser for 15 years. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater in Italy and North Africa.
Survivors besides his wife include, seven children, Pat (Steve) Hauber, Conyers, GA, Roger Pilny, Kenosha, Kathy (Bud) Pagel, Kenosha, Debbie (Dennis) Ribeiro, Houston, Texas, Tina Hopkins, Covington, GA, Gary Pilny, Mosinee, Pamela Mayer, Kenosha, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister Sophie (Ed) Boyer, Chicago and their two daughters Linda and Laura Boyer.
Besides his parents Walter was preceded in death by one brother Joe.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
