Walter Krautkramer

Walter Krautkramer 86, 800 Chestnut Street, Marathon, died Monday May 12, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born October 11, 1916 in Marathon, son of the late Frank and Mary (Clair) Krautkramer. Walter was a dairy farmer in the town of Marathon retiring in 1991. He was an avid beekeeper and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include a brother, Arnold (Lorraine) Krautkramer, Marathon, two sisters, Mercedes Knauf, Wausau and Viola (Ivan) Driscoll, Springdale, one sister-in-law, Marion Krautkramer, Marathon, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome, Sylvester and Raymond Krautkramer and a sister, Esther Krautkramer. The funeral mass will celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday May 16, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
