Walter B. Hemmrich

Walter B. Hemmrich 82, formerly of Marathon, died Friday, June 20, 2003 in Florida He was born January 16, 1921 in the town of Emmet, son of the late John and Freida (Pagel) Hemmrich. On August 10, 1946, he married Delores Lemke in Wausau. She survives. Walter was a diary farmer in the town of Cassel until 1980 and then did logging until the time of his retirement. Besides his wife, Delores, Marathon, he is survived by one daughter, Karen (Jim) Kein, Onalaska; three sons, Dale Hemmrich, Florida, Rick (Peggy) Hemmrich and Wayne (Jian) Hemmrich both of Marathon; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Harold Hemmrich, Rapid City, South Dakota. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary; one brother, Henry and two sisters, June and Betty. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2003 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. Rev. Dennis Pegorsch will officiate. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. Monday until time of services at the Marathon funeral home.
