Virginia T. Kuntz

Virginia T. Kuntz 84, died peacefully Saturday February 15, 2003 at the Williams House, Merrill. She was born December 21, 1918 in Merrill, daughter of the late Andrew Sr. and Margaret (Linder) Fischer. After attending Merrill schools, she was employed at the Antigo Hospital. On May 23, 1941 she married Arvin Kuntz. He survives. The couple owned and operated Stella Haven Resort in Three Lakes from 1951 until 1965. From 1965 until 1973 they owned and operated Stonecrest Motel in Schofield. Mrs. Kuntz lived with her daughter in Plover for a number of years. She was also a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Survivors besides her husband, Arvin, include a daughter, Judy Rae (Ken) Pozorski, Plover, three granddaughters, Julie C. Ulrick, Stevens Point, Joanna (Mike) Fritz, Chandler, Ariz., Jennifer (Paul) Fritz, Las Vegas, Nev., five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Alyxandra, Jennifer, Thomas, Rachel and one great-great-grandson, Aidan, three step-grandsons, Jeffrey (Judy) Pozorski, Stevens Point, James (Jody) Pozorski, Plover, Scott (Sue) Pozorski, Milwaukee, five step-great-grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Katy, Maggie and Hanna, one brother, Andrew (Myrtle) Fischer, Dothan, Ala., four sisters, Marian Osness, Antigo, Dorothy Peterson, Tinley Park, Ill., Lorraine (Harold) Bettin, Tomahawk, Darlene Welk, Merrill. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Fischer, Alfred Fischer, Ervin Fischer and three sisters, Margaret Seiske, Anna Marie (Fred) Wilhelm and Irene (Wilmer) Drew. There will be no funeral services. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
