Virginia H. Fischer

Virginia "Jeanne" H. Fischer 80, Edgar, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born August 23, 1927 in Stratford, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Schneider) Beyel. On June 7, 1947 she married Joseph Fischer in Stratford. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2001. Virginia was a homemaker who had many hobbies including playing piano, gardening, making floral arrangements and painting ceramics. She also enjoyed playing cards, watching the Packers, sitting around the campfire and above all spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her five sons, Norman (Debra) Fischer, Marathon, Daniel Fischer, Ken Fischer, Jeff (Tammy) Fischer, all of Edgar and Joseph Jr. (Clare) Fischer, Marshfield; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sister, Delores (George) Draeger, Marshfield; brother, Isadore (Patsy) Beyel, Marshfield and many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy, one brother, Alfred Beyel and five sisters, Rena Pulchinski, Pauline Boltrich, Laurie Andrejewski, Evelyn Pettinger and Dorothy Staadt. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3372 County Road S, Marathon, and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
