Violet L. Sutter

Violet L. Sutter 76, Athens, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born December 11, 1929 in Athens, daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Sprenger) Dorfschmidt. On October 25, 1959, she married George A. Sutter in Athens. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1991. Violet worked for the former Bank of Athens for many years. Survivors include, one sister, Mabel (Eugene) Drewek, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, George, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley, Darlene and Sandra. The memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
