Viola Schuster

Viola Schuster, 85, Wausau, died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born September 11, 1918 in Edgar, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Kania) Strasser. On January 31, 1942 she married Alois Schuster at St. John Catholic Church in Edgar. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2002. Viola was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of St. Catherine Council at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau and the Third Order of St. Francis. Survivors include her eight children, Robert (Nancy) Schuster, Schofield, Harry Schuster, North Pole, Alaska, Kenny (Kathy) Schuster, Weston, Marilyn (Fred) Steinagel, Schofield, Rosie (Bill) Viertel, Rothschild, Theresa (Gary) Stanke, Wausau, Ron (Julie) Schuster, Merrill, Ed Schuster, Eagle; 14 grandchildren, Brian Schuster, Jamie Rogan, Kevin Schuster, Craig Schuster, Cindy Hall, Chris Steinagel, Wendy Peterson, Tammi Augustiniak, Dr. Tanya Gorder, Troy Viertel, Travis Stanke, Heather Stanke, Jessica Kallberg, and Jon Schuster; 16 great grandchildren, Keri Rogan, Kayla Rogan, Tyler Krzanowski, Blake Krzanowski, Madisyn Schuster, Ashton Schuster, Colton Hall, Jordan Steinagel, Gracie Steinagel, Maddy Peterson, Carissa Augustiniak, Cole Augustiniak, Emma Gorder, Hailey Chance, Lexi Viertel, and Triton Kallberg; three sisters, Delphine Trawicki, Ella Bornheimer, both of Edgar, Marge Olson, Milwaukee; and two brothers, Ray Strasser, Wausau and Elroy (Helen) Strasser, Edgar. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Irene Ably, Lillian Krautkramer, and one brother John Strasser. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a combined St. Catherine Council and Parish Rosary Service Monday evening at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
