Vincent F. Murphy

Vincent F. Murphy 94, Wausau passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Hospice House, Wausau. He was born May 14, 1918 in Fairfield, New York, son of the late Dennis and Katherine (Reardon) Murphy. On June 1, 1946 he married Sadie Myrda in Utica, New York. She preceded him in death. Vincent was a dairy farmer and enjoyed hunting, reading and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his two daughters, Monica Murphy, Phoenix, Arizona, Theresa Murphy, Wausau and one son, Richard (Luanne) Murphy, Highland, Illinois, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Eleanor Blauvelt, Poland New York and Lucille Sterusky, Newport, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, two sons, Vincent Jr. and Eugene and one brother Dennis. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Newport, New York. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
