Versal ''Jib'' Markofski

Versal "Jib" Markofski 69, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1933 in Wausau, son of the late Lester and Virginia (Heidmann) Markofski. On July 20, 1957, he married Roberta DiMuzio in Wausau. She survives. Jib, though absent from the body, is now present with our precious Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone who knew him will surely miss his passion for his family and friends and keen sense of humor. He was a US Army Veteran and worked for Wausau Insurance Company for 32 years. Survivors besides his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Markofski, Wausau, includes his seven children, Pam (Jeff) Boodle, Merrill, Kim (Mike) Barnes, Portland, Oregon, Daniel (Gail) Markofski, Manitowish Waters, Dean Markofski, Wausau, Doug (Michelle) Markofski, Eau Claire, Tracy (Jay) Raymond, Merrill and Bobbi Jo Markofski-Zastrow, Wausau; 21 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from Noon Saturday until the time of services at the 6th Street funeral home. See you on the other side! We love you dad!
