Veronica M. Otto

Veronica Meyer Otto, a resident of Wausau for over 70 years died March 6, 2007. One of 13 children, Veronica was born in Meire Grove, Minn., on November 23, 1907. Veronica was preceded in death by her late husband, John in 1980, her son, Frederick in 1996, her parents Pauline Nathe and Herman Meyer, and her brothers and sisters, Aloysius, Anna, Frank, Josephine, Anthony, Applonia, Herman, Joseph, Caroline, Gertrude, Agatha, Frank and Robert. Survivors include her sons, John (Sheila) Otto, Winfield, Ill., Richard (Cristina) Otto, San Diego, Donald (Carol) Otto, Wausau, her daughter, Marguerite (Michael) Didier, Grand Rapids, Mich., daughter-in-law, Donna Otto, Wausau, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Veronica was a homemaker and worked at Marathon Battery, Ada's Restaurant and the Marathon Corporation cafeteria. She was a Charter Member of the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 10, 2007 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, where there will be a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Church of St. Anne. The family would like to thank the staff at Marywood Convalescent Center for the loving care given to our mother.
