Vernon E. Mader
68, 1418 Summit Drive, Wausau, died Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Hospice House.
He was born November 26, 1935 in Athens son of the late Theodore and Esther (Hanke) Mader. On August 11, 1956 he was united in marriage to Eunice Gebert in Stetsonville. She preceded him in death on August 4, 1998.
Vernon was a local truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing shephead and gardening.
Survivors include his children, Lynette (John) Kolb, Portage, Kurt (Darlene) Mader, Denver, Colo., Kerry (Purita) Mader, Wausau, Michael (Kathy) Mader, Wausau, six grandchildren, one sister, Vernell (Bob) Calmes, Wausau, five brothers, Jerome (Coletta) Mader, Mosinee, Ted (Elaine) Mader, Hatley, Jim (Joyce) Mader, West Bend, Melvin (Phyllis) Mader, Marathon and Eugene Mader, Wausau.
Memorial services will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
