Vernon B. Lund

Vernon B. Lund 84, Wausau, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. Vernon was born November 15, 1918 in Estherville, Iowa, son of the late Birger and Florence (Melby) Lund. He married Dorothy Hoge. She survives. Veteran of US Army during World War II. Vernon was the manager of the Marathon CO-OP for many years. Besides his wife, Dorothy Lund, Wausau; he is survived by one daughter, Victoria (Darrell) Jahnke, Edgar; two sons, Vernon Jr. (Anita) Lund, Osseo, Minn. and William Lund, Ortonville, Minn.; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. Monday until the time of services at the Stewart Ave. funeral home. There will be a military memorial service Monday evening conducted by the American Legion, Sawyer-Drumm Post #393, Edgar.
