Verna M. Strohm

Verna M. Strohm 85, formerly of 3662 Hollywood Road, Marathon, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. She was born November 8, 1920 in Ashland, daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Danish) Carpenter. On March 16, 1946 she married John Strohm in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1987. Verna was a homemaker. She also worked for Briggs& Stratton and Oscar Meyer in Milwaukee for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Gregory and her two children, David and Aimee Gregory, Marathon. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will officiate.
