Verna E. Quade

Verna E. Quade, 94, formerly of Wausau, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Christus Shumpert Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born July 29, 1920 in Rib Falls, daughter of the late William and Emma (Fellbaum) Huehnerfuss. On May 3, 1941 she married Evan Quade in Wausau. He preceded her in death. Verna worked at Kraft Foods for 21 years before retiring in 1979. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed her family and crafts. Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen (Stephen) Gibson, Shreveport, Louisiana and Carol (Daniel) Bogard, Greenwood, Indiana; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Marc and James Gibson, Scott Bogard and Angela Bogard Sell. She was preceded in death by husband, Evan; her sisters Lucille Saindon and Mona Greubel; brothers, Merlin and Earliss Huehnerfuss. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran School, Wausau.
