Verna V. Kulas
92, Athens, died Friday, August 5, 2005 at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Schofield.
She was born January 31, 1913 in Merrill, daughter of the late Emil and Wilhelmine (Schroeder) Emanuel. On July 23, 1938, she married John Kulas in Athens. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1998.
Verna worked for the General Telephone Company, Athens for many years. She was a 50 year member of the Trinity Lutheran Demonstrations Club which was affiliated with the Marathon County Homemakers Club. Besides having a vegetable and flowers gardens and being an avid card player, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughters.
Survivors include one son, Donovan (Donna) Kulas, Mosinee; two grandchildren, Amy Lynne (Ryan) Christiansen and Kevin (Jessica Raether) Kulas; two great granddaughters, Mikayla & Madelyn Christiansen; one sister-in-law, Leona (Dave) Braun, Stevens Point; nieces & nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters & four brothers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
