Vern T. Kilty

Vern T. Kilty 76, Athens, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 3, 1932 in Unity, son of the late William and Florence (Mattson) Kilty. On October 5, 1955 he married Mary Martin in Unity, Wisconsin. She survives. Vern enjoyed playing cards, tinkering with machinery and most of all spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mary, Athens; two sons, Thomas (Tanya) Kilty, Marathon and Christopher (special friend Anna) Kilty, Wausau; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Virginia) Kilty, Colby, Robert (Alvera) Kilty, Spencer and Marvin (Lu) Kilty, Colby; sister-in-law, Erma Kilty, Colby and many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church, W1000 County Road N, Edgar. Rev. Al Houts will officiate. Burial will be in the Colby Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
