Verald A. Boeger

Verald A. Boeger 88, formerly of Stratford, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was born October 27, 1922 in Athens, son of the late Anton and Wilamena (Fasse) Boeger. On August 1, 1955 he married Amanda Hein-Hargraves in Wausau. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2010. Verald was dairy farmer in the town of Eau Pleine and also worked at Weyerhaeuser for more than 35 years. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his two children, Clayton (Sherri) Boeger, Athens, Jacqueline (Rick) Hubbell, Stratford, his step children, Janice (Robert) Parmer, Fall Creek, Bud (Sandy) Hargraves, Rothschild, Martha Fremming, Birnamwood, James Hargraves, Waukesha and Jerry (Carol) Hargraves, Marathon, 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Dwight, one grandson, Ehren Boeger, son-in-law, Billy Fremming, daughter-in-law, Peggy Hargraves and his two brothers, Leslie and Melvin Boeger. Private family services were held. Burial was in the Athens Village Cemetery. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.
