Venita M. Bittner

Venita M. Bittner 89, Wausau died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at her home. She was born December 29, 1919 in Merrill, daughter of the late Eugene and Hattie (Schlumm) Schulz Sr. Venita married Edward A. Randolph on May 20, 1944 in Merrill. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1970. She later married William Bittner in Wausau on May 1, 1981. He also preceded her in death on January 27, 1983. For many years Venita worked at Mayer Shoe Company in Wausau. She was active at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus and the school and was also an avid sports fan. Survivors include one nephew, Gary (Beverly) Schulz, Merrill, two great nephews, Matthew (Hima Sunkara) Schulz and Mark (Rebecca) Schulz, one great niece, Rebecca Schulz and one great great niece, Allison Schulz. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus or a charity of your choice.
